Ace it! - Give a Better Talk.

“If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.” – Einstein. This interactive workshop is for anyone who wants to present clear, easily understood technical talks. You will learn how to focus on your most important result, the presentation skills that help you connect with your audience principles of good slide design, and how to use clear visuals to support your talk. We will use screen sharing and breakout groups so that everyone will have a chance to practice and receive feedback. Please bring the slides from your talk or, if you did not present this year, pull together a rough draft of a slide deck. This workshop is cosponsored by iDigBio, the American Bryological and Lichenological Society (ABLS), American Fern Society (AFS), American Society of Plant Taxonomists (ASPT), International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT), and the Society of Herbarium Curators (SHC).
