Plenary Address - Bryan Dewsbury

Dewsbury, Bryan [1].

What have we learned? - Lessons and strategies from the chaos.

Despite the temptations of our conventional practices education was never meant to be the sole domain of classrooms. Its transformative power lay dormant while we perciverated over coverage, tools, technology and our own fear. The forces of social hunger and nature have taught us that we have been found wanting for some time on the promise of delivering an experience that arcs toward equity. In this address, we cast a magnifying glass on what the social reality of inequity has taught us, and more importantly, how we can and must position ourselves to be agents of change.
